Linux installation party on 28 April 2026
Want to give your computer a new lease on life? Then the Linux Install Party is the perfect place for you! Here, you’ll get help installing Linux (as a second operating system alongside Windows, if you’d like). We also have USB drives with Linux pre-installed ready for you. All you need to do is back up your personal data either at home or on-site. If you’re doing it on-site, please bring a storage device with enough space. Of course, we’ll also try to help you if you’ve already installed Linux but are having trouble. But anyone who wants to show off their i3 with semi-transparent windows or their obscure Emacs configuration is also more than welcome. At past LIPs, we’ve often held a SuperTuxKart tournament. To keep your stomachs from growling while you install, we’ll order pizza for you.
